NEWCASTLE UNITED TO CHANGE GOALKEEPER

Newcastle United is on the move to bringing in a better shot-stopper.

The coach of the club, Rafa Benitez is keen for competition in the English Premier League after winning the England Championship.

Their goalkeeper, MatzSels is looking forward to a move to Anderlecht. If the Sels transfer deal is completed, Newcastle will thus have to dust up their goalkeeping department and take some big decisions before the pre-season training begins.

Ideally, Newcastle is looking for three goalkeepers who have the experience of playing top level football. They have shown an interest in both Willy Caballero, who is also Chelsea’s target, and ex-Liverpool stopper Pepe Reina.

TimKrul is back to the club following a year out in Holland after loans with Ajax and AZ Alkmaar.

It is however uncertain whether the coach is ready to go back to one of Newcastle’s old boys because Tim Krulcan claim he has both the top level experience and knows all about life at Newcastle

France league 1 club, Montpellier has shown a huge interest in the Dutchman of recent thus triggeringBenitez to check out other shot-stoppers lately.

Woodman is likely to be loaned out again but Benitez is thrilled by his progress at Kilmarnock last season and with England Under-20s this summer having won the World Cup.

The young goalkeeper is very much considered as a future number 1 on Tyneside but he cannot afford a season of waiting for his chance and must get game-time in the EFL.

Rob Elliot as well is ready to stay and push for the number 1 spot but the Ireland goalkeeper knows he is not going to be guaranteed the spot.

He however will be quite confident of working with United once again for the upcomingseason.
